The Deck
From here the main work for the mine was conducted. The rail lines in the deck were for the ore cars exiting the mine tunnel, behind this photo. The line running straight back went to the ore transfer station where it was dumped and then dumped again onto cable cars for the descent to the mill, 2 miles below. The line running to the left went to the blacksmith's shop where the cars were repaired. The building in the back is the mine office
